Green misses scoring title in RMR finale

Gerald Green just missed claiming the Rocky Mountain Revue scoring title as the Mavs wrapped up their Salt Lake City stay with an 82-70 win over Utah. Dallas closed out the Revue with a 4-2 mark, leaving the team 7-4 for the summer.

Utah’s Morris Almond apparently led all RMR scorers with 112 points, including 15 in the finale. Green, according to the game story on the RMR website, had 97 going into the last game and added another 11.

(It should be noted that the stats in the game accounts don’t often match up with the box, so these numbers shouldn’t be seen as gospel. Looking up the totals on the stats page, Almond had 111 and Green 106.)

Charles Rhodes continued to make his case for a shot in training camp with a game-high 15 points. The rookie free agent out of Mississippi State added four rebounds, a steal and block in 24 minutes.
